Audrey Bell: Day Eighteen

audrey 6 months eating

Audrey the foodie. Today Maggie sat down next to her with a popsicle and Audrey immediately started dive-bombing the popsicle. If she sees food, she’s into it and wants a taste. Thankfully she is still interested in nursing and the rice cereal and oatmeal excite her. We’ve given her tastes of lots of things and her interest in food keeps growing and expanding. I could go without the dive-bomb, but this Little Birdie has no other way to tell us that she wants to EAT!!!

Audrey Bell: Day Seventeen

When I started this project, I had so many different ideas about all the different places I’d take pictures, but nearly all of the photos have been taken in our own backyard. It is such a sweet oasis and some days, like today, we don’t leave our home. I did four loads of laundry, filled Maggie’s small pool and we shifted from inside to outside all day long.  Audrey took two long naps and Maggie acted like she was Mermaid Villa Villekulla for most of the day. Thanks to an active imagination and Pippi Longstocking, I was reminded multiple times that Mermaid Villa Villekulla was really Maggie’s name. I’m pretty sure Audrey is teething again, but not as bad as when those top two were coming in. I am trying to get an image of those two teeth, but she guards them like they’re gold!

**The chair is one of my favorite pieces of furniture in our home, even though I’ll never be small enough to use it. For Christmas a couple years ago, my mom had this chair that she’d found at a garage sale reupholstered for Maggie. I got to pick the fabric and I still love it. Some day, when our girls are older, we’ll add legs.

Audrey Bell: Day Sixteen

I had just given her a bath and realized that I hadn’t taken her picture yet today. So, I took her outside, still wrapped in her towel, and caught a bit of the evening light. Maggie was busy on the patio practicing riding her bike as fast as she could go and Barry was watching her. [“Hey Mama, if you see me making this face…….it means I’m trying really hard.”] Sometimes when I take pictures of the girls, Sydney comes and sits far off in the distance exactly in the middle of the frame. She is such a funny dog, I’ll share some of her photo bombs at the end of this project. We’re glad to be home after a long weekend of fake camping.
