Prenatal Learning

I’ve been having a number of conversations with people about prenatal learning. One of the consistent pieces of advice has been for me to listen to a piece of music while relaxing throughout my pregnancy. The theory is that that tune will help sooth and relax the baby.  My aunt, Sue, said that she had two different songs that worked with both her girls and my parent’s friend, Carl, said that he read a study about a woman that had a baby that loved the M.A.S.H theme.

I’m feeling a bit of pressure to find a tune to play because when I took a nap today Sydney came and wrapped herself around my belly and proceeded to snore like a freight train. I’m a bit worried that the ‘tune’ that the baby will become accustomed to will be the sound of Sydney’s snores.

I suppose that isn’t so bad, but I’d rather not have Syd sawing her logs directly in Baby Miller’s face.

All Saints Day

The trailer proclaims that “The Brothers Are Back”, and I’m pretty excited about it. The Boondock Saints brothers return to the big screen after a 10 year hiatus with the release of The Boondock Saints II All Saints Day.

The original, Boondock Saints was released back in 1999, and bombed at the box office. However, DVD sales of the movie were quite impressive. That’s how I found out about it myself, and I liked it so much it is now one of the 4 DVDs that I own.

Despite the over the top violence there’s something very entertaining about this movie to me, and I’m definitely planning on checking out All Saints Day on the big screen.
