Ugh.

I woke up this morning with an itchy throat and Barry sweetly made me a smoothie, it was delicious and helped soothe the scratch. As my day progressed, I became chilly, achy and downright sick felling.

We were supposed to go to a surprise birthday party for my uncle (Happy Birthday, Steve) but instead we’re at home and I’ve been cuddled into a ball feeling cold.

I’m determined to wake up tomorrow – the day of our departure for our weekend getaway – and have a bit of a bounce in my step. I will feel better!!

As for now, I’m up out of bed and am making the transition to the couch to watch a little tube.

I had a meeting with Mob Boss Pam and her crew this afternoon and we they finished the top and bottom!

It is so beautiful.

I’m in love.

Now, I’ll transport it to Anacortes so Peggy can do the actual quilting.

Birthday Picture Clue

In one week I’ll be turning 30.

30!!!

Do you hear that? My belly isn’t the only big thing happening around here, I’ll be rolling into a new decade within the week.

Barry, being one in this relationship who actually can keep a secret, has only given me a few clues as to where we are headed for a few days this weekend.

Here is what I know:

  • We can get there within 2-3 hours from HBHQ.
  • It is South of HBHQ
  • No dogs are allowed at the place where we are staying. (Syd goes to Camp Janet)
  • Barry is bringing his kayak.
  • It is a small town.
  • We’ve never been there before – or at least he’s never been there and he doesn’t think I’ve been there.
  • We’ve never talked about it.
  • We’ll be able to make our own food.
  • The above picture was e-mailed to me today. Apparently, it is from the kitchen window of where we are staying.
