Easter Winner

 

Every year my Grandma Elvrum has a guessing game at Easter that involves chocolate, candy and a bit of competitiveness. Last week Barry and I met up with Izak and he mentioned that he’d been training recently for the Easter Candy Guess.

My cousin Cora reminded us that last year Barry’s guess was the furthest away from the correct answer, winning him a tiny chocolate bunny and some good laughs.

Well, this year Barry prevailed and won the prize!!

My mom and dad* came in 2nd and 3rd place, with the prizes being smaller bunnies.

I probably would have won this year, but I was busy taking bets for the HBaby Pool.

Oh, I love guessing games – especially when there is chocolate and money involved.

Taking Bet$ Now

So, it is April and we’re about to have a baby here at HBHQ. We’ve decided to open up the polls for any and all who would like to predict when Miss Maggie is going to make her debut. Here’s the deal:

  • $1 buy in/day with a 3 day max.
  • If you and another person choose the same day then you will be asked to guess Maggie’s weight to determine who wins.
  • If you guess the right day (without going over), you win the big bucks.
  • My due date has changed at least three times with the most recent being April 22nd.
  • Betting polls close on April 9th at 12:01 a.m.
  • Bets can be made via text, phone, e-mail, fax, US mail, or directly to HB when they have the calendar in hand.

If you have any comments or questions, feel free to contact us. Money needs to be paid to HB by the 9th or your guess will be ignored, even if it is right.

*There are some who have insisted we print a May calendar…so, feel free to go beyond April 30th.
