Take Off!

Today Maggie, our BABY (!), is 6 months old! Instead of writing my typical letter to her we’re spending our last day on the beach and boarding our flight home. We’ll be arriving in rainy Seattle tonight and going home to our Chubby Pug.

I miss that dog of ours so much. I know that Brian did a great job with her, but I really have missed having her tag along on our adventure here on the Big Island. She wouldn’t like it very much because it is pretty hot here, so I don’t feel so bad. Plus, it sounds like she gave Brian a run for his money in the snack department.

Apparently she got super aggressive with him and bullied him into giving her a snack. We laughed because she does that to Barry.

The Day We Went to The Most Beautiful Beach in the World

Last week we went to the most beautiful beach in the world. In order to get to said beach we had to drive on the bumpiest road in the world and walk across a rocky lava field that was super sweltering.I’m not complaining because I got to swim in the water of the most beautiful beach in the world.

I really wish I could write more about that day, but we’ve got a Pool Party to attend with Maggie’s peeps. She is the life of the party around here and Pool Parties are the most important thing that she does. She’s got her mambo-sock hat on and everything, so typing more isn’t really an option.

Enjoy the pictures from that day last week. Lava flats, beautiful beaches, cute baby, brother buried in sand, dad boogie boarding, husband reading, blah, blah, blah.

You get the idea, right?

Adoration

My grandfather enjoys all of his grandkids immensely and now that he has a great grandchild, he dotes on her accordingly. He scoops Maggie up in his arms seconds after she appears in the room. When she makes her way back into my arms it isn’t for long, as he needs a few more moments with her sweet little smile and shriek.
