Yard Work Looks A Bit Different Around Here Now

I was motivated yesterday to attempt to rake some of our leaves and get them out of the fish pond and decided that it wasn’t raining too bad to try and get a bit done. Maggie was a great sport about it and by the time we were back inside, I noticed that Maggie had dirt all over her face and up her sleeve. Turns out she enjoyed helping a bit too.

On a side note, Sydney came outside for about two seconds before she went and sat by the door demanding to be let back inside. She is such a weather snob! When I finally let her back inside she proceeded to sit and look at us from the inside. Snooty Pup!

Last night I had a hard time falling asleep and it was the strangest feeling because every other member of HBHQ were sawing logs and I was just twiddling my thumbs wishing to be asleep. Now Maggie is taking her third nap of the day and I’m working on a typing project for 3G.

No sleep = blah, blah, blah.

So, blah!

B-Nut Flies Again!

Each afternoon when Barry returns home from work, only a short time passes before he has Maggie in his arms and he has turned into B-Nut! He is kind of like Clark Kent turning into Superman – except for the whole spandex outfit.

Too bad Superman doesn’t have a trusty sidekick, because if he did, Maggie would be a great one. She sits in his arms and happily flies around the house.

Actually, too bad that Superman doesn’t have two trusty sidekicks because, more often than not, Sydney is chasing around B-Nut and the flying baby.

When Barry first started rushing around the house with Maggie in his arms, it was to get her to stop crying – back when she was a b-a-b-y. Nowadays he still rushes around to trying to get her to cheer up from time to time, but with more and more frequency they are rushing around both cracking up.

Have I mentioned that I love my husband lately? Well, I do. He kind of reminds me of Superman.

Except the whole spandex outfit thing.

A Lunch Date of Sorts

On Sunday Maggie and I headed to Anacortes to meet up with Kara, Lara, Deneva and Jenni to have lunch at Jenni’s house. It was a delight in every sense of the word to see all my friends. Jenni is my newest friend out of these girls and I became friends with her in 7th grade, although I met her a couple years before that.

Thomas, being the only boy there, got super tired of all the girl talk and decided to take a snoozer on Deneva. I’m pretty sure she almost melted out of love for that guy.

Part of the reason that I love Anacortes so much is that the friends that I made growing up are truly life long. When we all get together, it feels like we’re back to our old ways….rehashing tidbits from our lives. I feel lucky to have a crew of girls that I have known for so long.

Also, thanks for the delicious lunch, Jenni!
