Birthday Picture Clue

In one week I’ll be turning 30.
30!!!
Do you hear that? My belly isn’t the only big thing happening around here, I’ll be rolling into a new decade within the week.
Barry, being one in this relationship who actually can keep a secret, has only given me a few clues as to where we are headed for a few days this weekend.
Here is what I know:
- We can get there within 2-3 hours from HBHQ.
- It is South of HBHQ
- No dogs are allowed at the place where we are staying. (Syd goes to Camp Janet)
- Barry is bringing his kayak.
- It is a small town.
- We’ve never been there before – or at least he’s never been there and he doesn’t think I’ve been there.
- We’ve never talked about it.
- We’ll be able to make our own food.
- The above picture was e-mailed to me today. Apparently, it is from the kitchen window of where we are staying.

In one week, but the celebration starts this weekend!!
More clues to come…I hope.
Is it 2-3 hours south, or it’s 2-3 hours away, and is technically south of where you live, but could be like 2 miles south and on the OP?
My guess is somewhere in the Puget Sound’s Deep Armpit region, right around where the Great Peninsula’s arm attaches onto the rest of Washington’s body.

Sean, wonderful questions….I did get another cluel saying that at ‘some point’ I’ll be riding a ferry this weekend. Hmm….
It’s funny, I just wrote a post that started “In one week I’ll be thirty. THIRTY!!!!” Are you freaking out? I think I’ll freak out more when Tyler turns thirty (I must be old if my little brother is 30), but still. Thirty. Ack! Sean, do you have any clues for all the surprises you have up your sleeves?
