Like clockwork Sydney starts to wait for Barry every afternoon. Most often this is done on the back of the couch in the orange room, but the other day I found her using the coffee table in the front room. Creative dog, that little pup.
Snaggletooth
I have always admired people with LARGE teeth, mostly because mine are teeny-tiny. Tonight I was reminded of the time that I was blessed with a large tooth. It was glorious.
My front right tooth is fake – I lost it in a haunted house gone bad when I was in second grade. When I was in college my fake tooth fell out leaving the brown numb for all to see. It was pretty disgusting and my memories are of people telling me that they did not want to look at the nub.I had to call one of my professors to let him know that I wouldn’t be in class because I’d lost a tooth!
When I finally made it to the dentist I was informed that I’d have to wear a prosthetic for a couple weeks while waiting for my new crown to come in. Here is the best part: the prosthetic tooth was HUGE! Imagine Jim Carrey in Dumb & Dumber or Bugs Bunny. It was a dream come true, I finally had a huge, white tooth!
Granted, I couldn’t close my mouth or even chew, but dang I could smile. I’m sad that I don’t have any pictures of that tooth. She was a good one. I had a dream recently that I lost my fake tooth again. Does this mean that I could possibly again be blessed with a large, white fake tooth in my near future?
Flip’s Daily Routine Starts Here
This is how my dad starts his day. He’s done this ever since I can remember. I have a number of pictures like this. They are pretty much the same. He’s got his coffee cup, his feet up and is staring out the window.
He doesn’t really talk during this time. He just thinks.
I like seeing my dad like this in the morning.
